1. Background & Objectives

Red‑light photobiomodulation (630‑660 nm) triggers collagen synthesis and improves skin homeostasis. The Lumyria™ Halo Red mask houses 120 LEDs at 635 nm with ±5 % even diffusion (patent pending).

This in‑house study aimed to :

  • Quantify skin firmness changes after 4 weeks;
  • Evaluate user satisfaction (texture, glow, tone);
  • Confirm tolerance on phototypes I–IV.

2. Methodology

Parameter Details
Design Open‑label, single site, 4 weeks
Participants 35 women, 28–57 yrs (mean 41 ± 7)
Protocol 10 min / day, 5 days / week — cleansed skin, no actives
Instrumental measures Cutometer® R0/R2 (firmness); Colorimeter ITA° (glow)
Self‑assessment 5‑item Likert questionnaire
Safety Derm eval D0 & D28 ; adverse‑event log

3. Key Results

Criterion Day 0 Day 28 Change
Firmness (R2) 0.63 ± 0.07 0.73 ± 0.06 +15.9 %
Glow (ITA°) 21.4 ± 3.2 25.8 ± 3.5 +4.4 pts
Self‑reported “firmer skin” 92 % agree / strongly agree
Tolerance 0 major reactions; 2 transient tinglings (Day 1–3)

† Statistically significant, p < 0.01 (paired t‑test).

4. Discussion

The 16 % firmness boost matches published data for 630‑640 nm exposure. As no active cosmetics were used, improvements can be attributed to LED therapy. Safety profile was excellent. Limitations : small cohort, open design, short duration. A 12‑week randomized controlled trial is underway.

5. Conclusion

92 % of participants felt their skin was firmer after 4 weeks, with instrumental gains in firmness and radiance, confirming Lumyria™ Halo Red as an effective at‑home anti‑ageing solution.
